Interesting you should post this. I've had this exact same problem in the past....at least on a few different points in my life. Typically it had nothing to do with the amount of sleep I was getting or lack thereof. The best I was able to discern, it was correlated to life stressors. I never googled it, but that's what I came up with. Also interesting is that this even came up recently on a re-run of "My Name is Earl". And in that episode, his eye twitching was stress related. My "twitch episodes" sometimes last a couple of weeks. But it does goes away.
Ohh.....unless it's a tumor, hemmorage, or the early stages of a syndrome called Bell's Palsy where the entire side of your face will become paralysed for an indefinite amount of time.
